Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to ensure high performance and engagement
• Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential
• Manage cash handling procedures, POS systems, and payroll processes with accuracy and integrity
• Implement effective sales strategies through customer service excellence and proactive upselling techniques
• Maintain inventory control by conducting regular stock audits, managing purchasing decisions, and ensuring proper stock levels
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards
• Foster a welcoming environment by providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues promptly

Requirements

• Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a strong background in supervising teams and managing daily operations
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training new staff members
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued
• Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills for retail math calculations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, stock control, cashiering, and operational management
• Leadership qualities with a focus on team development, managerial communication, and motivating staff toward shared goals
• Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques along with supervisory experience in sales team management
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining phone etiquette and professional customer interactions
• Previous assistant manager or managerial experience within retail or grocery stores is preferred

Pay: $51,310.37 - $61,793.13 per year
