What they need
Store Manager – Quick Fill Convenience Store & Gas Station
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Based on experience and qualifications
Quick Fill is growing, and we are looking for a hands-on Store Manager who can take ownership of a location, lead employees, and consistently maintain our operating standards.
Our managers are responsible for more than working a register. They are expected to plan ahead, train their team, control expenses, address problems, and run a dependable operation without daily reminders from ownership. You will work with our Operations Manager and have clear expectations for communication, accountability, and store performance.
Your Responsibilities
Store Readiness & Customer Service
- Ensure the store opens on time every day, with employees in position and ready to serve customers.
- At locations with a 4:30 a.m. opening and 5:00 a.m. breakfast service, plan staffing and preparation to meet those deadlines consistently.
- Maintain friendly, efficient service and address customer concerns professionally.
- Keep shelves, coolers, beverage stations, and checkout areas stocked, organized, and properly priced.
- Maintain clean restrooms, floors, kitchens, parking lots, pumps, and entrances throughout the day. Use approved cleaning products and protect company equipment and finishes.
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Train employees on store procedures and verify that they can perform their duties independently.
- Create and release schedules on time, within approved labor budgets, and arrange coverage for absences.
- Give clear assignments and follow up to confirm completion.
- Address attendance, late openings, poor performance, and unprofessional conduct promptly, with written documentation.
- Maintain a respectful workplace. Handle employee concerns privately and professionally, and encourage questions and learning.
- Follow company policies consistently, including employee purchases, food allowances, product consumption, and cash handling.
- Step in where needed while building a team that can perform reliably across every shift.
Inventory, Vendors & Store Profitability
- Order according to sales, inventory levels, and approved vendor budgets—not simply accept what a vendor recommends.
- Check deliveries against invoices, verify quantities, and document shortages, damages, credits, and returns.
- Prevent out-of-stocks, unnecessary overstock, expired merchandise, and avoidable waste.
- Maintain product rotation, shelf placement, promotional displays, and accurate pricing.
- Review sales, gross margins, payroll, inventory shortages, and kitchen waste with the Operations Manager and take corrective action when results fall short.
Kitchen Operations — Where Applicable
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure breakfast and other food offerings are ready on schedule.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, portion control, sanitation, and required temperature records.
- Plan food preparation around demand to maintain availability while controlling waste.
- Enforce approved employee meal and product-consumption policies.
Cash, Reporting & Communication
- Complete daily sales reports, cash reconciliation, deposit records, and invoice submissions accurately and on time.
- Investigate and document cash discrepancies promptly.
- Review employee time records and submit accurate payroll information by the deadline.
- Complete required store checklists and weekly performance reporting.
- Respond promptly to the Operations Manager and communicate staffing, equipment, inventory, and operational concerns before they become larger problems.
- Maintain a written record of important issues, actions taken, and follow-up needed.
Fuel Operations & Property Care
- Complete assigned fuel-system checks, including scheduled tank-water checks and required logs, following company training and procedures.
- Monitor pumps, fuel islands, signage, lighting, and equipment for cleanliness, condition, and proper operation.
- Report alarms, leaks, safety concerns, and maintenance needs immediately through the proper channels.
- Keep required compliance records organized and follow through on inspection findings and repairs.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous management experience in a convenience store, gas station, grocery, restaurant, or comparable business.
- Experience supervising staff, preparing schedules, managing inventory, and handling cash.
- A dependable leader who follows through and can hold employees accountable fairly.
- Comfort using POS systems, back-office software, email, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools.
- Reliable transportation and availability for early mornings, weekends, holidays, and other scheduled shifts.
- Ability to perform essential store duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Our Standard
A successful Quick Fill manager runs a store that is open on time, clean, stocked, properly staffed, and ready for business. Employees understand their responsibilities, customers are treated well, spending is controlled, and management receives accurate information without having to repeatedly request it.
As Quick Fill adds locations, we value managers who can develop employees and help prepare future store leaders.
Apply with your résumé and a brief description of your management experience, including your responsibilities for staffing, ordering, cash controls, and store performance.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
