Store Manager

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the retail sales team, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer engagement
• Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling procedures
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase store profitability
• Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a strong team
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory control records ensuring compliance with company policies
• Utilize POS systems for transactions, pricing adjustments, and sales management while ensuring efficient cashiering operations
• Implement operational procedures related to purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce shrinkage

Requirements

• Proven management experience in retail or a similar customer-focused environment with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory control, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred; ability to connect with diverse customers and team members
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and operational management
• Ability to lead a team effectively through supervision of shift management, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to pricing, sales tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong leadership qualities with experience in retail store product knowledge, merchandising, stocking, and customer service excellence
