Store Manager

What will I be doing?

Store Management & Leadership Duties:

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently
• Lead, motivate and manage the store team, creating a positive, productive and high-performing working environment
• Set clear expectations for staff and ensure high standards are maintained across customer service, store presentation and daily operations
• Manage team performance, provide regular feedback and support staff development
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure daily, weekly and operational priorities are completed
• Take responsibility for achieving store sales targets and identifying opportunities to improve performance
• Monitor store performance and communicate key updates, challenges and opportunities with senior management
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure the wider team consistently provides a strong customer experience
• Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints professionally
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, cleanliness, stock presentation and overall store appearance
• Manage stock levels, replenishment and product availability across the shop floor
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling and till operations
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
• Manage staff rotas, attendance and day-to-day staffing requirements
• Ensure company procedures, policies and operational standards are followed consistently
• Identify any issues affecting store performance and take a proactive, solution-focused approach to resolving them
• Work closely with the wider management team to support company goals, campaigns and wider business growth

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ retail experience, with previous management or strong supervisory experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a retail team
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales, targets and store performance
• Confident making decisions and taking ownership of store operations
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage priorities and remain organised in a fast-paced environment
• Experience managing staff performance and providing constructive feedback
• Proactive, reliable and solution-focused
• High attention to detail and strong standards when it comes to store presentation
• Positive attitude with the confidence to take initiative and lead from the front
