Store Manager

Posting on behalf of a friend, I am looking for Store Manager for a clothing brand.

In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, drive sales strategies, and ensure excellent customer engagement. You will be key in optimising store performance and enhancing the overall shopping experience. The ideal candidate has strong team leadership skills, sales acumen, and a passion for customer service.

Objectives of this role

• Leading and motivating the retail team to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
• Overseeing store management, inventory management, and staff management.
• Monitoring sales performance, retail strategies, and merchandising displays.
• Analysing customer trends, feedback, and purchasing behaviour to improve sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Implementing promotional campaigns, discount strategies, and loyalty programs.
• Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.
• Conducting staff training and improving sales techniques, customer service, and store policies.
• Maintaining accurate records of sales reports, budgeting, and operational expenses.

Your tasks

• Manage day-to-day store activities, including opening/closing procedures and staff scheduling.
• Review stock levels and coordinate with vendors to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure store appearance aligns with guidelines and visual merchandising standards.
• Optimise store layout and product placement for maximum customer engagement.
• Implement loss prevention measures to reduce shrinkage and theft.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic upselling and cross-selling sales strategies.
• Implement promotional campaigns and ensure in-store marketing materials are updated.
• Develop and enforce policies to enhance employee productivity and efficiency.
• Track store performance using KPIs, sales reports, and profit margins.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in retail management, sales supervision, or store operations.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory/retail software, and retail analytics tools.
• Expertise in merchandising, stock level control, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising, store layout optimisation, and retail marketing techniques.
• Solid understanding of financial performance, budgeting, and sales forecasting.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or similar.
• Relevant certifications in retail management, customer service excellence, or sales leadership.
• Familiarity with e-commerce integration and omnichannel retailing.
• Ability to manage high-pressure retail environments and seasonal peaks.
• Experience in high-end retail, department stores, or franchise operations.
• Knowledge of local market trends and consumer behaviour.
• Experience in vendor management and retail supply chain coordination.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and at least one other regional language.

Time 11am-7pm

Pay: Rs23,658.55 - Rs96,573.60 per month
