Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Manage daily cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and financial transactions accurately.
• Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to maximize sales opportunities.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate training & development initiatives for staff.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and upper management to ensure smooth store operations.

Requirements

• Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting to build a motivated team.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases.
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, pricing strategies, and retail math calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in retail sales management, operational oversight, and team development.
• Strong communication skills for managerial conversations, customer interactions, and staff training.
• Knowledge of grocery store or retail product knowledge is a plus; previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
