Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of customer service
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, fostering a positive team-oriented culture
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets, utilizing effective negotiation and merchandising techniques
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and purchasing to optimize product availability and reduce shrinkage
• Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct regular staff training on retail sales techniques, customer service excellence, POS operation, and safety procedures
• Monitor store performance through sales data analysis, budgeting, and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement

Requirements

• Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams and managing store operations
• Strong knowledge of retail sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and POS systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and build customer relationships
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Competency in basic math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and inventory calculations
• Experience with operational management tasks such as budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and stock management
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous assistant manager or shift management experience is preferred; familiarity with retail industry sales team management is a plus
