About the Role

We are hiring a Store Manager for our client to manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store, drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and lead the store team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall store operations, including opening/closing, daily activities, and housekeeping.
• Drive sales and revenue targets by implementing effective sales strategies and monitoring store performance.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the store sales team to achieve individual and store-level targets.
• Ensure an excellent customer experience through effective customer handling and service.
• Monitor inventory, stock availability, inward/outward movement, and stock reconciliation.
• Ensure proper visual merchandising, product display, and store presentation as per company standards.
• Monitor daily sales, footfall, conversion, and other key store performance metrics.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with HO, warehouse, finance, and other departments for smooth store operations.
• Ensure proper billing, cash handling, POS operations, and daily sales reconciliation.
• Maintain required store records, reports, and MIS.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
• Conduct regular team briefings, training, and performance reviews.
• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, grooming, and overall productivity.
• Support local marketing and promotional activities to increase store footfall and sales.
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions to improve store efficiency.
• Ensure the store consistently meets company standards for sales, service, inventory, and customer experience.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Diploma in any discipline; retail or management qualification will be an advantage.
• 3–6 years of experience in retail store management, preferably in a customer-facing retail environment.
• Strong experience in sales, team handling, inventory management, and store operations.
• Good knowledge of POS systems, billing, MS Excel, and retail MIS.
• Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to manage targets and perform effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Candidate should be customer-focused, commercially driven, and comfortable managing a team.
