Store Manager

Job Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Redmond dog daycare and boarding facility. Responsibilities

• Lead Daily Operations: Oversee and supervise all daily store and facility activities, including shift management, staffing coverage, and operational workflows, ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive experience for dogs, owners, and team members.
• Develop the Team: Lead all aspects of team management, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, employee orientation, coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing training to foster a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Maintain Facility Safety and Standards: Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and well-maintained while upholding animal welfare, health and safety, and company standards.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients to encourage retention, referrals, and positive reviews. Address questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive experience.
• Manage Scheduling and Payroll: Coordinate employee schedules, shift coverage, attendance tracking, and payroll processing to maintain adequate and safe staffing and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Oversee Sales Operations: Maximize profitability, oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and basic bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Monitor Performance and Report Results: Track key operational metrics, including attendance, facility capacity, incidents, sales, and other relevant performance indicators. Communicate operational needs, challenges, and recommendations to ownership.
• Foster a Positive Team Environment: Maintain open communication with employees and customers, resolve issues constructively, and promote a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented workplace culture.

Experience

• Proven management experience in the retail industry with a focus on team leadership and operational oversight.
• Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, and understanding of discount policies
• Strong skills in negotiation, discipline, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training new staff members.
• Experience with payroll and labor budgeting is preferred.
• Prior supervisory roles such as assistant manager or store manager are essential for success in this position.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with managerial communication expertise to lead teams confidently.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
