Store Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee all store operations. Duties

• Lead and motivate the retail sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective management and coaching.
• Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock audits, and coordinating purchasing and merchandising efforts.
• Implement employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team performance and customer service quality.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff members while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, budgeting, and financial reporting to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment.
• Supervise shift schedules, manage staffing levels for optimal store coverage, and oversee cashiering activities.
• Utilize management skills to oversee operational processes such as pricing strategies, sales management, inventory management, and merchandising initiatives.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective managerial communication, leadership in training & development efforts, and supervising employee performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail store management or supervisory roles within the retail industry sales team management environment.
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, recruiting practices, payroll administration, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems operation, purchasing processes, and cash handling.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with previous supervising or assistant manager experience in a retail setting.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
• Knowledge of retail math including basic math calculations related to pricing, sales tracking, budgeting, and inventory control.
• Familiarity with grocery store or similar retail environments is advantageous but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage time effectively while overseeing operational management tasks such as merchandising, stocking, shift management, and sales strategies.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
