Duties

• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
• Oversee daily store operations including cash handling, POS system management, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff members to build a high-performing team aligned with company goals.
• Implement operational procedures related to purchasing, payroll processing, shift management, and budget adherence.
• Monitor sales performance data using retail math principles to identify growth opportunities and optimize store profitability.
• Maintain excellent communication with staff through managerial communication skills, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Skills

• Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong negotiation skills to handle vendor relationships and purchasing negotiations effectively.
• Excellent employee orientation skills with experience in interviewing and recruiting top talent.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for retail operations.
• Demonstrated leadership in retail sales team management with expertise in training & development.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple priorities such as merchandising, stocking, and operational tasks.
• Effective communication skills including phone etiquette and managerial communication to motivate staff and engage customers.
• Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, pricing strategies, and customer service standards.
• Experience in operational management including budgeting, cash handling, payroll processing, and bookkeeping practices.
