In 2020, during Melbourne's longest lockdown, a Filipino chef had no work and no income from all the restaurants closing. They made Filipino-inspired gelato at home, delivered it themselves, and sold hundreds of tubs in a week. Not because they were selling ice cream, but because they were selling a feeling: halo-halo on a hot afternoon, pandan from your lola's kitchen.

They named it Kariton, after the sorbeteros who pushed their carts down the street while we ran out with our ten pesos clutched tight. Our mission is to make every Filipino proud. We are opening more stores, and the only real limit on how fast is how many we can run properly. Currently we run 3 stores and are looking for a store manager to lead the 4th!

Why this role exists

A Scooper owns a counter. A Supervisor owns a shift. Somebody has to own the store as a business. You are that person: the team, the money, the stock, the numbers, and every relationship the store depends on.

What you'll own

• The team — hired, trained, certified, scheduled, paid correctly, and kept. Developing your Supervisors is the work here that compounds.

• The money — banked, controlled, audited, and every peso explainable.

• The stock and the house — inventory health, waste down, wage cost to plan, QC on everything that arrives.

• The numbers — sales and performance metrics tracked, understood, and acted on. You arrive at every review already knowing why.

• The relationships — commissary, mall management, upper management. All managed, none surprised.

Your week

• Daily — read every shift report, assign breaks, secure the deposit, be visible on the floor including peaks.

• Weekly — publish the rota on time, one-on-one with each Supervisor, verify the inventory count, review waste and wage against plan, audit one control unannounced, send the store report up.

• Monthly — full numbers review vs target, certification and training progress, compliance folder, one deep audit.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years running a retail, F&B or QSR store — or 3+ years as a supervisor ready for the step up

• A clean cash record: banking, drawers, variances, audits

• You can read your own P&L and say what actually moves sales, wage cost and waste in a real store

• You've hired, trained, disciplined and kept people, with documentation you'd hand over without wincing

• Comfortable with POS, inventory counts, rosters and reports that go up on a schedule

• Fluent English and Filipino; available for retail hours, weekends and peaks

Gelato, dessert, café or mall retail experience is an advantage, as is new-store opening experience, BIR sales compliance, or delivery-platform settlement.

• PHP 40,000 – 50,000 per month, depending on experience
