Role Description The Store Manager in Training role is a full-time, on-site position located in Alpharetta, GA. Once training is completed, the canidate will provide support to the Atlanta market. This role supports daily store operations including overseeing sales floor activities, assisting guests, and ensuring a welcoming, service-oriented environment. The Store Manager in Training will learn and apply store management practices, help lead and motivate team members, support merchandising and inventory processes, and promote Mountain High Outfitters’ brand values. Responsibilities include monitoring store performance, supporting loss prevention procedures, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and contributing to local community and outdoor-focused events. This position is designed to prepare the individual for future store leadership roles through hands-on experience and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal communication and active listening with guests and team members.
• Candidates should possess foundational Store Management skills, such as coordinating daily operations, supporting staff, and maintaining store standards.
• Candidates should possess Retail Loss Prevention awareness, including adherence to policies that protect company assets and reduce shrink.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior retail or outdoor industry experience, basic merchandising and inventory skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or leadership experience is a plus.
