Store Manager - Restaurant

Field Day is a new fast-casual restaurant in Fair Lawn Promenade serving bowls, salads, wraps and soups. We’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to open the restaurant and run it as their own.

What you’ll do

• Own the restaurant’s results: sales, food and labor costs, guest experience and team culture
• Hire, train and schedule the team, including our Front Counter Hosts, Line Team Members, Prep Cook and Shift Leads
• Lead the opening: set up systems, train the first crew, and get us to a smooth daily rhythm
• Run service as a working manager, stepping onto the line or the register whenever the rush calls for it
• Manage food cost: place orders against the order guide, run weekly inventory, track waste and hold portion standards
• Build labor schedules to sales forecasts and keep labor on target
• Keep us inspection-ready every day, including food safety logs, temperature checks and cleaning schedules
• Grow sales: catering orders, third-party delivery, local partnerships and guest reviews
• Run the opening and closing procedures, deposits, and reporting to ownership

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years managing a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant (opening experience is a strong plus)
• Experience with a POS and scheduling software (Square experience is a plus)
• Preferred Experience in a Salad or Bowl quick-service restaurant, not required
• ServSafe Manager certification, or obtained before opening
• A leader who trains by doing and holds a standard without burning out the team
• Available for about 45–50 hours/week, including weekends
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift 50 lbs

What we offer

• Base salary of $55,000–$65,000
• Quarterly bonus based on sales, food cost and labor targets
