Store Manager/Service Writer

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Store Manager/Service Writer to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties

• Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs, and communicate service options clearly and confidently
• Write detailed service estimates using automotive estimating software, ensuring accuracy for all repairs and maintenance
• Manage the flow of vehicle repairs, coordinating with technicians to prioritize work and meet customer expectations
• Upsell additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, air brake systems, and other mechanical repairs
• Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions including cash handling and service records
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair status, and recommended services
• Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service while fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement

Experience

• Proven dealership or automotive service management experience with a strong background in auto repair and diagnostics
• Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes including collision repair and mechanical troubleshooting
• Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
• Knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair
• Customer service experience with excellent client communication skills
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; prior driving experience preferred
