STORE OFFICER – TECHNICAL STORES

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Store Officer with a strong technical/engineering stores background to manage the receipt, storage, issuance and reconciliation of company inventory, particularly engineering spare parts, tools, machine components and technical materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive, inspect and verify technical materials, spare parts, tools and equipment against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Properly label, organize and store materials for easy identification and retrieval.
• Maintain accurate bin cards, stock ledgers and inventory records.
• Record all receipts, issues, returns and adjustments accurately in Tally.
• Issue materials only against authorized requisitions/issue vouchers.
• Reconcile physical stock, bin cards, inventory registers and Tally records.
• Conduct routine stock counts and investigate variances.
• Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, excess, slow-moving, obsolete or damaged items.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement and Production teams to ensure availability of required materials.
• Maintain proper documentation for GRNs, requisitions, issue vouchers, returns and transfers.
• Prepare stock and reconciliation reports for management.
• Ensure proper storage, security, stock rotation and HSE compliance.
• Report stock losses, damages, discrepancies or unauthorized movements promptly.

REQUIREMENTS

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years’ experience in a technical/engineering store, manufacturing, industrial, agribusiness or FMCG environment.
• MANDATORY: Hands-on experience managing technical/engineering inventory such as spare parts, machine components, tools, electrical/mechanical parts or maintenance materials.
• Good knowledge of Tally, Microsoft Excel, bin cards, inventory registers and stock reconciliation.
• Ability to understand and identify technical parts/materials and their specifications.
• Strong numerical, documentation and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and accountability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

NON-NEGOTIABLE

Candidates must have previous technical/engineering stores experience. Candidates whose experience is limited to general warehouse, supermarket, FMCG or finished-goods stores without exposure to technical parts, engineering materials or maintenance inventory will not be considered.
