About the role

Bestwise Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Store Supervisor to join our warehousing and distribution operations in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our storage and distribution facilities. As Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing team performance, and maintaining the highest standards of inventory management and safety. This role is integral to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and manage warehouse staff on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
2. Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate inventory records and proper organisation of warehouse facilities
3. Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies
4. Ensure efficient loading and unloading operations whilst maintaining health and safety standards
5. Implement and maintain warehouse organisation systems to maximise space utilisation and accessibility
6. Conduct staff training and development programmes to enhance team skills and productivity
7. Report on warehouse performance metrics including productivity, safety incidents, and inventory accuracy
8. Liaise with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
9. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety legislation
10. Address and resolve operational issues and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in a warehousing, storage, or distribution environment
2. Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse teams and improving operational efficiency
3. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations best practices
4. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
5. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications
6. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining safe working environments
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams
8. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management
9. Physical ability to perform warehouse duties and work in varying environmental conditions
10. Fluency in English and preferably Malay; additional languages are advantageous
11. Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
