Store Supervisor

Myka Greek Frozen Yogurt is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and reliable Store Supervisor / Key Holder to help lead our team and deliver a fantastic experience for every customer.

As Store Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the store, including opening and closing the premises, holding store keys, supervising the team, maintaining high standards and ensuring the store operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate and support team members during shifts
• Deliver excellent customer service and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
• Ensure frozen yogurt, toppings and other products are prepared, presented and served to Myka’s standards
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety standards
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and deliveries
• Handle cash, card payments, tills and daily cash procedures
• Help train and develop new team members
• Deal with customer questions or concerns professionally
• Support management with the overall day-to-day operation of the store

Key Holder Duties

As a trusted Key Holder, you will have additional responsibility for the security and safe operation of the store. Duties will include:

• Holding and safeguarding store keys
• Opening and closing the store independently when required
• Ensuring keys are never left unattended, copied or given to unauthorised persons
• Following all store security procedures when entering and leaving the premises
• Setting and disarming the store alarm where applicable
• Carrying out security checks before opening and after closing
• Ensuring doors, windows and other access points are properly secured
• Taking responsibility for the premises when management is not present
• Ensuring cash, tills and other valuables are secured according to company procedures
• Responding appropriately to security, alarm or emergency situations
• Immediately reporting lost keys, security concerns, damage or suspicious activity to management
• Ensuring only authorised staff have access to restricted areas
• Following emergency, fire safety and evacuation procedures
• Reporting any incidents occurring during the shift to management

Store Opening Duties

• Arrive on time and open the premises securely
• Disarm the alarm and carry out opening security checks
• Complete safety and cleanliness checks
• Switch on and check equipment and frozen yogurt machines
• Prepare the counter, serving areas, toppings and customer areas
• Check stock levels and replenish products where required
• Check product quality, temperatures and food-safety requirements
• Prepare and check tills and cash floats
• Ensure the store is clean, organised and fully ready for customers
• Brief the team and allocate duties for the shift

Store Closing Duties

• Supervise end-of-day cleaning of the store, counters, equipment and customer areas
• Ensure frozen yogurt machines and food-service equipment are cleaned according to company procedures
• Check and safely store products, toppings and stock
• Complete required food-safety and temperature checks
• Check stock and record shortages or items requiring replenishment
• Complete till reconciliation and end-of-day cash procedures
• Secure cash and other valuables according to company procedures
• Ensure waste is disposed of correctly
• Check equipment, lights and facilities are switched off or left safely as required
• Ensure all team members have completed their closing duties and left the premises
• Complete a final walk-through and security check
• Set the store alarm where applicable
• Lock and secure all entrances before leaving
• Report any maintenance, stock, staffing, security or operational issues to management

• Is trustworthy and responsible enough to act as a store Key Holder
• Is comfortable opening and closing the store independently
• Has strong leadership and communication skills
• Is reliable, punctual and organised
• Can lead a team and delegate tasks effectively
• Works well in a busy, customer-focused environment
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
• Is flexible and available for a mixture of shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Has previous retail, hospitality or food-service experience

Previous supervisory or key-holder experience is preferred, but we’re also interested in experienced team members who are ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 42.0 per week
