Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
• Assist customers, answer questions about store merchandise, and upselling items to maximize sales opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
• Maintain proper cash drawer handling procedures and perform basic math calculations during transactions
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up attractive displays and ensuring store cleanliness and organization
• Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors, ensuring clear and professional interactions

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Strong communication skills to connect with diverse customers effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and cash handling procedures
• Experience supervising or mentoring team members is a plus; leadership skills are valued
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves
• Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising techniques to assist in product demos and upselling efforts
• Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and a friendly attitude to foster positive shopping experiences

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
