Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash register operations
• Assist customers with product demos, upselling, and answering questions about store merchandise
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits of various items
• Maintain accurate cash drawer handling and perform basic math calculations during transactions
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring store cleanliness and safety standards are met

Requirements

• Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable
• Basic math skills for handling cash register operations, retail math calculations, and cash handling procedures
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales transactions is highly desirable
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
• Excellent phone etiquette for assisting customers over the phone or in person
• Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
