Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Floor / Section Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations, supervise floor staff, maintain merchandising and stock standards, and ensure excellent customer service. The successful candidate will coordinate staff activities, monitor store standards, and promptly address operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and coordinate merchandisers and sales attendants across assigned sections.

* Prepare shift schedules, conduct staff briefings, and monitor attendance and performance.

* Ensure shelves are well-stocked, clean, properly arranged, and correctly priced.

* Monitor stock rotation, expiry dates, damaged goods, and restocking needs.

* Ensure promotional displays and merchandising standards are maintained.

* Provide excellent customer service and resolve floor-level complaints.

* Monitor and report incidents relating to theft, product damage, safety, and other risks.

* Conduct regular floor checks and ensure aisles and work areas remain safe and organised.

* Prepare shift reports covering stock issues, incidents, customer complaints, and staff matters.

* Train, coach, and guide team members while escalating serious disciplinary issues to HR.

Requirements

* OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

* 2–3 years’ experience in supermarket or retail operations, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

* Good knowledge of merchandising, stock control, pricing, and store operations.

* Basic proficiency in MS Excel, POS, or inventory management systems.

* Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

* High level of integrity and attention to detail.

* Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred: Experience with planograms/promotional displays and first aid or fire safety training.
