Storefront Estimator

Role Description The Storefront Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Placentia, CA, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial storefront and window projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing architectural plans and specifications, performing material take-offs, and determining labor and installation requirements. The role involves collaborating with sales, project management, and installation teams to clarify project scopes and ensure estimates align with customer needs and company standards. The Storefront Estimator will communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, prepare detailed proposals, and assist in value engineering options to meet budget and performance requirements. This position also includes maintaining organized records of estimates, updating pricing databases, and supporting customers and internal stakeholders with timely, professional responses.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, storefront systems, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with estimation tools, spreadsheets, and basic math for measurements, quantities, and cost calculations.
• Knowledge of commercial glazing, window and door products, materials, and installation methods.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Prior experience in construction estimating, glass and glazing, or related building trades is highly beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or coursework in construction or drafting is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Placentia, CA, and occasionally visit job sites as needed.
