Storekeeper

About the role

A Storekeeper is responsible for the daily receiving, loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse. The role involves operating a forklift, checking incoming and outgoing goods, arranging and storing materials at designated locations, and maintaining accurate inventory through stock counting and regular checks. The Storekeeper ensures goods are properly handled to minimise damage, maintains warehouse cleanliness and safety, and reports issues to the supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily receiving, loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse
• Operate a forklift for the movement, loading, unloading, and arrangement of goods
• Check incoming and outgoing goods to ensure the correct items and quantities are received or dispatched
• Arrange and store raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods at designated warehouse locations
• Perform stock counting and regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist with stock-in, stock-out, stock take, and basic warehouse documentation when required
• Monitor stock rotation and follow FIFO / FEFO practices where applicable
• Ensure goods are properly handled and stored to minimise damage and product loss
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean, neat, safe, and organised condition
• Report damaged goods, stock discrepancies, and other warehouse issues to the supervisor promptly

About you

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or storekeeping is preferred
• Able to operate a forklift
• Basic knowledge of inventory handling, stock control, and warehouse documentation is preferred
• Physically fit and able to perform loading, unloading, and other manual handling duties
• Responsible, organised, and attentive to stock accuracy
• Able to follow warehouse procedures and safety requirements
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Willing to work in Tongkang Pechah, Batu Pahat, Johor.
