What they need
5 Team Carpentry and Flooring LLC specializes in bespoke joinery, flooring solutions, exhibition stands, and full-scale event fabrication across Dubai and the UAE. Operating out of our Ras Al Khor facility, we provide end-to-end production support for high-profile trade shows, corporate events, retail fit-outs, and luxury interior projects.
Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, disciplined, and proactive Storekeeper to oversee our central workshop warehouse. You will be responsible for managing all raw materials (timber, MDF, laminates, hardware, flooring, paints/finishes), event staging supplies, power tools, and rental equipment.
Because we operate in both custom joinery and fast-paced event execution, this role requires strict material tracking, rapid site dispatches, systematic handling of returns after event dismantle, and routine inventory audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control & Record Keeping:
- Log all incoming and outgoing materials, tools, and consumables using ERP/inventory software and physical gate passes/delivery notes (DNs).
- Maintain up-to-date bin cards, stock sheets, and periodic stock audit reports.
- Monitor reorder levels for high-consumption items (adhesives, screws, sanding discs, blades, vinyls, safety PPE) to prevent production delays.
- Material Receiving & Inspection:
- Inspect incoming deliveries from suppliers against Purchase Orders (POs) for correct quantity, specifications, and damage before signing off.
- Safely offload, categorize, and store raw timber, sheet goods (plywood, MDF), flooring packs, hardware, and event props.
- Dispatch & Event Logistics Support:
- Pick, pack, and stage materials and tools according to daily workshop job cards and site delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with drivers, carpenters, and project managers for on-time dispatches to event venues and fit-out sites across the UAE.
- Prepare official Delivery Notes, Material Transfer Notes, and Gate Passes.
- Post-Event Returns & Reclamation:
- Receive, verify, and inspect all reusable hardware, tools, staging units, and structural components returning from event de-rigs.
- Flag lost or damaged items immediately to project managers.
- Clean, service, and restock reusable assets in their designated storage racks.
- Tool Room Management & Safety:
- Maintain a sign-in/sign-out registry for power tools, pneumatic equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Ensure warehouse compliance with UAE Civil Defence guidelines (clear walkways, proper ventilation, correct storage of paints/thinners, fire extinguisher accessibility).
- Keep the warehouse floor, racking systems, and staging bays clean, organized, and secure.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Controller, preferably within a carpentry workshop, interior fit-out company, or exhibition/event production house in the UAE.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with carpentry raw materials (MDF, veneers, acrylic, laminates, hardware fittings), flooring components, and workshop hand/power tools.
- Software Skills: Hands-on experience with inventory management software / ERP systems and basic Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Documentation Skills: Proficient in preparing Delivery Notes (DN), Material Requisition Slips, Gate Passes, and Purchase Requisitions.
- Language & Communication: Good working proficiency in English (Hindi/Urdu fluency is an advantage for workshop coordination).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work on your feet, inspect shipments, and handle light lifting/moving in a workshop warehouse environment.
- Location: Daily reporting to Warehouse #7, Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, Dubai.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive monthly salary based on background and experience.
- Standard UAE labor benefits: Employment visa, health insurance, annual leave, and end-of-service gratuity.
- Overtime compensation where applicable during peak exhibition/event seasons.
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
