Storekeeper

Position Overview

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking construction materials, tools, and equipment. With a civil‑engineering‑aligned background, the role ensures proper handling of structural, architectural, and site materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting project teams with timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive materials, tools, and equipment delivered to the warehouse or site.
• Verify quantities, specifications, and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams for inspection and approval of civil and construction materials.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
• Organize and store materials systematically to ensure safety, accessibility, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain updated inventory records for all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Implement proper labeling, stacking, and segregation for structural, concrete, rebar, formwork, finishing, and consumable items.
• Monitor stock levels and notify procurement of low‑stock or fast‑moving items.
• Issue materials to site teams based on approved Material Request Forms (MRFs).
• Ensure accurate documentation of all issued items, including quantities, project allocation, and usage tracking.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management review.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Oversee proper handling of heavy materials
• Coordinate with procurement, project engineers, site supervisors for timely material delivery.
• Support project planning by providing accurate stock availability updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience as a Storekeeper in construction contracting or warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials
• Familiarity with UAE market suppliers and material specifications.
