Storeman/Operator

We are currently seeking Storeman and Operators to join a busy manufacturing environment in Brisbane.
  
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working as part of a team and being involved in a fast-paced production environment.
  
Shift Times
You will work on a rotating shift pattern, changing to the next shift every 2 weeks: 

• 7:00am – 3:00pm
• 3:00pm – 11:00pm
• 11:00pm – 7:00am

You must be comfortable working across day, afternoon and night shifts.
  
About the Role
As a Production Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating production equipment and assisting with production processes
• Operating a forklift safely and correctly
• Packing and strapping finished products
• Moving and storing products and materials
• Assisting with production line changes and start-ups once trained
• Monitoring product quality and reporting any faults to the Team Leader
• Keeping the production line and work area clean and tidy
• Assisting with reject products and regrinding materials when required
• Completing required production paperwork
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures
• Participating in toolbox talks, team meetings and required training
• Reporting any hazards, incidents or safety concerns immediately
• Working as part of a team to maintain production targets and minimise downtime
• The position description also requires operators to maintain product quality, complete required checks and work safely around plant, mobile plant and equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Current Forklift Licence - no experience required
• Previous experience in a similar environment
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling
• Safety-conscious attitude
• Basic English and mathematics skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work rotating day, afternoon and night shifts
