Storeperson

We are currently seeking a Store Person at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.

A great opportunity for a physically fit and experienced Store Person to join our Purchasing Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries of stock which arrive through the dock, check the quality and quantity, then store in the correct manner ensuring all administration is processed.
• Complete all beverage/general requisitions, which are delivered to the Outlets throughout the Complex.
• Liaise with managers, supervisors, and line staff in all departments daily.
• Ensure inventory supplies are sufficient to meet the property’s operational requirements.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded on a timely basis.

Criteria

• Previous experience in a stores/purchasing position in a hotel or supermarket environment.
• Forklift licence preferred, but not essential.
• Computer-literate.
• Good communication skills.
• Accurate documentation recording with attention to detail.
• Food and Beverage knowledge preferred.
• Understanding of stock control and procedures.
• Able to identify products and descriptions.
• Confident in liaising with all property outlets.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts.
