About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Storeperson to join MM Electrical Merchandising in Balcatta, WA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for managing inventory, replenishing stock on shelves, picking and packing orders and ensuring that our warehouse operates smoothly to support the needs of our business and customers. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of order fulfilment to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality
• Organising and arranging stock items within the warehouse using appropriate storage methods and systems
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock counts
• Picking and packing orders in accordance with customer requirements and company standards
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
• Labelling and categorising stock items for easy identification and retrieval
• Assisting with warehouse maintenance and keeping storage areas clean and tidy
• Supporting the loading and unloading of goods from delivery vehicles
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment
• Communicating effectively with warehouse management and other team members regarding stock levels and any issues
• Delivering goods to customers on site

What we're looking for

• Experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment is highly desirable
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and stock control software
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Physical capability to lift, carry and move stock items regularly throughout your shift
• Forklift certification is preferred
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate stock records and order fulfilment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Reliability and a strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in warehouse environments
• Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with inventory systems
