Storeperson Required

Our client a well-established business located in Newcastle is seeking an experienced and reliable Storeperson / Forklift Operator to join their team.

This is a hands-on warehouse role responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of goods while supporting smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.

This position would suit someone with strong warehouse experience, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and accurately store incoming goods
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders
• Safely load and unload trucks
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in accordance with safety procedures
• Conduct stock control activities and inventory checks
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
• Assist with maintaining warehouse organisation and cleanliness
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding stock and warehouse matters
• Complete warehouse documentation accurately and on time
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Your Profile

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse or storeperson role
• Current Forklift Licence (LF)
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management
• Ability to accurately receive, store and dispatch stock
• Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Ideal candidates will also have:

• Experience with purchasing or inventory control systems

• Exposure to ERP or warehouse management software

• Previous experience within industrial, manufacturing, wholesale or distribution environments

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
