About the role

C & R Packers (1996) Limited is seeking a dedicated and organised Stores Person to join our team in Pakuranga Heights, Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in the efficient operation of our contract manufacturing business . As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for managing inventory, organizing stock, and ensuring that our warehouse operates smoothly and safely. Your contribution will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service and ensuring products reach our customers on time.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock and shipments
• Organizing and storing goods in designated areas of the warehouse using appropriate storage systems
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock counts
• Picking and packing items for dispatch according to customer orders
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organized at all times
• Following all health and safety procedures and protocols
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as required
• Assisting with stock rotation to ensure goods are used in a timely manner
• Reporting any damaged goods or discrepancies to management
• Supporting the warehouse team to meet daily and weekly targets

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, similar storage environment, handling of DG materials

• We are a MPI certified facility,

• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills

• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move goods regularly

• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Basic numeracy skills for stock counting and record-keeping

• Forklift certification and previous experience with MPI

• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions
