We are currently working with a well-established engineering consultancy in Auckland who are looking to bring an experienced Stormwater Engineer into their growing team.

The Role

This role will see you involved in a range of infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on stormwater design and engineering. You will have the opportunity to work across projects from initial concept and modelling through to detailed design and construction.

You will be working closely with a wider civil and infrastructure team, giving you exposure to a variety of projects and the opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge.

Responsibilities will include:

• Stormwater design for infrastructure and land development projects
• Stormwater management and network design
• Catchment assessments and flood modelling
• Preparation of technical reports and design documentation
• Working alongside planners, civil engineers and other technical specialists
• Liaising with clients, councils and other project stakeholders
• Hydraulic modelling with HEC-RAS and other softwares

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in stormwater engineering who is confident working on infrastructure projects within New Zealand.

Ideally, you will have:

• A relevant engineering qualification
• Experience working as a Stormwater or Civil Engineer
• Strong knowledge of stormwater design and management
• Experience working on infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of Auckland Council requirements would be beneficial
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Hydraulic and stormwater modelling experience would be a real bonus. Experience with software such as InfoWorks, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM or similar would be highly regarded, although this is not essential for the right candidate.
