About us

Hillsborough Chiang Mai is a 10-room boutique hotel designed as an English country house and private estate, with a café and a rose garden. Every hotel has rooms, but unforgettable hotels have stories. We are building more than a hotel: a destination people talk about.

About the role

We are looking for a Storyteller who can turn everyday moments at the hotel into compelling narratives that inspire people to visit, experience, and remember us. This is not a template-following content role. You will help shape the voice of the brand and position Hillsborough Chiang Mai as one of the most inspiring destinations in Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Discover and tell authentic stories about the hotel, our team, our guests, the café, and the rose garden.

• Create content that connects emotionally, not content that only chases views.

• Capture moments through writing, photography, video, or any creative medium.

• Produce content for our social channels, including Instagram and TikTok, and for our website and direct-booking materials.

• Work closely with the marketing team to shape and protect a consistent brand voice.

• Develop creative campaigns that people genuinely want to share.

• Pitch new ideas, experiment with formats, and learn from what performs.

Expectations

• Work on-site in Chiang Mai, close to guests and daily hotel life, so stories come from real moments.

• Keep a steady flow of content and communicate plans and progress clearly with the Owner and marketing team.

• Treat guest privacy with care and ask permission before featuring guests.

• Connect creative work to real business results: awareness, engagement, and bookings.

Must-have qualifications

• A portfolio of storytelling work (writing, photography, video, or social content). Please include it with your application.

• Strong writing and creative communication skills.

• Good English communication; Thai is a plus.

• Ability to shoot and edit short-form video and photography, with a smartphone or camera.

• Understanding of human emotions and what makes people curious.

Nice to have

• Experience or passion in branding, hospitality, travel, or lifestyle.

• Familiarity with editing and design tools such as CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, or Adobe apps.

• Experience growing a social media account or running a content campaign.
