Strategic Cost Analyst

Microsoft is seeking a detail-oriented Strategic Cost Analyst to evaluate business expenses, analyze financial data, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and can translate financial information into practical recommendations that support business planning and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze operating costs, budgets, and financial performance
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and business teams
• Maintain accurate financial models and documentation
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Experience in financial analysis, cost analysis, or business planning
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools is an advantage
