About the Role

A leading defense systems organization is seeking a Strategic Maritime Programs Manager to lead large-scale, strategic programs.

The role includes:

• Leading the business and marketing activities of complex air defense systems (System of Systems) involving advanced hardware, communications, and software
• Working closely with Product Managers, Business Program Managers, and the organization’s Marketing Division to identify and understand customer needs and requirements
• Managing responses to RFPs/tenders and leading the overall win strategy, including tailoring the optimal solution to the customer
• Meeting with customers to present the system, its capabilities and advantages, and drive the opportunity toward contract award
• Active involvement throughout the customer engagement and contracting process
• Working in a matrix organization with multiple internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Legal, PMO, Security, Licensing, and other functions
• Managing multiple business opportunities and strategic activities simultaneously in a highly competitive environment
• International customer engagement and business travel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mandatory
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree – Significant advantage
• At least 3 years of proven experience leading projects or developing multidisciplinary systems – Mandatory
• In-depth knowledge of ground-based or naval air defense systems, guided weapons, or missile systems – Mandatory
• At least 3 years of experience leading marketing activities and developing commercial proposals/quotations for international defense customers – Mandatory
• Excellent English – Mandatory
• Willingness to travel internationally – Mandatory
• Proven ability to lead in a matrix environment , combined with strong independent working capabilities.
