Working arrangements: Part-time, approximately 10–15 hours per week. Fully remote, with the successful candidate based in the UK.
About the Company
Our client is a growing financial technology business providing risk-management solutions to the residential rental market. Its products help landlords and property operators accommodate applicants who may not meet traditional income or credit requirements, offering an alternative to conventional guarantor arrangements.
Having established a strong presence in the US student accommodation market, the business is now expanding its operations across the UK. Through strategic partnerships with established property technology and management businesses, it is developing its UK distribution network and building the operational capability to support continued growth.
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded, adaptable and proactive UK Partnerships & Operations Associate to support the growth and day-to-day running of our client's UK business.
Working closely with external distribution partners, property operators and an international internal team, you will play a varied role spanning business development, relationship management, operational support and marketing.
You will act as an important point of contact between the business and its UK partners, helping to develop commercial opportunities, strengthen existing relationships, support customer onboarding and ensure a consistently high standard of service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across different business functions, is comfortable taking ownership of their workload and wants to contribute to the growth of an expanding international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Business development: Support the expansion of the UK customer and partner network by identifying, assessing and progressing new commercial opportunities through existing distribution channels.
- Partner relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, property operators and other key stakeholders, acting as a primary point of contact where required.
- Performance and engagement: Conduct regular partner check-ins and performance reviews, monitor progress against agreed objectives, identify opportunities for improvement and help resolve emerging issues.
- Customer onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding of new property operators, landlords and properties, ensuring processes are completed efficiently and providing a positive customer experience.
- Operational support: Assist with customer enquiries, claims-related queries, policy administration and general service requests, working with relevant internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Marketing and communications: Contribute to UK-focused marketing activities, including partner communications, content development and initiatives designed to increase awareness and engagement.
- Market intelligence: Monitor developments in the UK residential rental and student accommodation sectors, including market trends, competitor activity and emerging commercial opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure partner-facing activities and operational processes adhere to internal policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strategic support: Work with senior leadership to deliver UK business priorities, support operational improvements and contribute to the wider market expansion strategy.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in account management, partnership development, business development or another client-facing commercial role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the UK property sector, ideally through experience in property technology, student accommodation, residential lettings or property management.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities across a varied workload.
- Confidence working in a remote environment and collaborating with an international team across different time zones.
- A flexible and adaptable mindset, with an interest in contributing to a growing business where responsibilities may evolve over time.
Desirable Experience
- Previous exposure to insurance, financial services, fintech or other regulated products.
- Experience working with distribution partners, channel partnerships or B2B clients.
- Familiarity with customer onboarding, policy administration or claims-related processes.
What’s on Offer?
- Fully remote working from within the UK.
- Flexible part-time hours of approximately 10–15 hours per week.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an international business expanding into a new market.
- A varied, commercially focused position offering exposure to partnerships, operations, business development and marketing.
- The opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and help shape the development of the UK business.
