Strategic Planner Manager

Job Summary

The Strategic Planning Manager plays a hybrid role between Business Development (BD) and Strategic Planning. This role leads strategic direction, develops pitch-winning strategies, and crafts compelling brand stories tailored to each client.

Strong in research, analytics, and storytelling, the Manager translates market and consumer insights into persuasive strategies and presentations, while leading the planning team and driving successful client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Pitch Strategy & Deck Development

o Lead the creation of high-impact pitch decks, ensuring a clear storyline tailored to each brand’s

objectives.

o Craft compelling narratives that combine data, consumer insights, and creative ideas into

persuasive presentations.

o Collaborate with BD and account teams to customize proposals and ensure they address client

pain points and opportunities.

• Insight & Research

o Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and consumer trend analysis to inform pitch

strategies.

o Translate insights into actionable recommendations that differentiate the agency’s approach.

o Continuously stay updated on marketing, media, and consumer behavior trends to sharpen pitch

relevance.

• Integrated Marketing Strategy

o Develop brand and campaign strategies that go beyond IMC, integrating digital, content, and e-

commerce perspectives.

o Ensure strategies align with business goals while bringing creativity and innovation into the

proposal.

• Client & Stakeholder Engagement

o Partner with BD and Account teams to engage with potential clients, presenting strategies and

concepts with confidence.

o Act as a thought partner in client conversations, offering consultative advice and tailored

marketing recommendations.

• Storytelling & Presentation

o Build and deliver presentations that capture attention, tell a persuasive story, and showcase the

agency’s expertise.

o Personalize each pitch to resonate with client industries, audiences, and brand personalities.

• Collaboration & Leadership

o Work closely with content, creative, and media teams to align strategies and ideas into holistic

campaigns.

o Mentor junior planners in research, insight generation, and deck structuring.

o Support BD in opportunity scoping and pipeline growth with strategic input.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

• Experience: 3–6 years in Strategic Planning, Business Development, or related roles within digital/creative

agencies.

• Research & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to uncover insights from data, consumer trends, and market

analysis.

• Storytelling & Deck Crafting: Proven ability to structure pitch decks with compelling narratives and

professional design.

• Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English.

• Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of branding, marketing communications, consumer behavior,

and digital trends.

• Collaboration: Team player with experience working with BD, creative, content, and media functions.

• Adaptability: Ability to tailor strategies and stories to different industries and brand personalities.
