Strategic Sourcing Lead

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for mechanical components, including Sheet Metal, Machining, Forging, Casting, Plastic & Rubber Moulding, Electromechanical Assemblies, and Special Processes.
• Lead NPD sourcing activities, supplier identification, tooling development, PPAP/APQP, and timely product launch.
• Drive cost reduction through strategic negotiations, value engineering, localization, alternate sourcing, and productivity improvement.
• Conduct should-cost analysis, cost breakdowns, market benchmarking, and supplier quotation evaluations.
• Identify, develop, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and manufacturing capability.
• Lead supplier audits, performance reviews, risk mitigation, and supplier base optimization.
• Manage commercial negotiations, pricing agreements, payment terms, and supplier contracts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams for product cost optimization and operational excellence.
• Drive procurement analytics, savings initiatives, process improvements, and sourcing digitalization.

Preferred candidate profile

• 515 years of experience in Mechanical Procurement / Strategic Sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components, manufacturing processes, costing, and supplier development.
• Experience in NPD sourcing, cost optimization, localization, and commercial negotiations.
