Strategic Sourcing Leader

We are seeking a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Leader to lead the company’s strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple business units, facilities, and spend categories. This role will drive supplier strategy, competitive sourcing, cost optimization, contract negotiations, and supplier performance while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to maximize value and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for direct materials, indirect materials, MRO, services, and project-related purchases.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, competitive bidding, and commercial negotiations.
• Identify and implement cost reduction, cost avoidance, and working capital improvement opportunities.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support operational, financial, and supply continuity objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Analyze company-wide spend data to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new projects, operational requirements, and business growth initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, service, and cost competitiveness.
• Develop risk mitigation and dual-sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity.
• Support inventory optimization, logistics efficiency, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain.
• Proven experience leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction programs.
• Strong knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiations, RFQ/RFP processes, and TCO methodologies.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with domestic and international suppliers.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience sourcing manufacturing materials, metals, aluminum, glass, hardware, MRO, or industrial services.
• Knowledge of low-cost country sourcing strategies and supplier development.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
