Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Our client, located south of the Houston area, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist with chemical industry experience to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional with hands-on experience purchasing raw materials and supporting vendor and sourcing activities across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase raw materials in support of business operations
• Manage RFQs and evaluate supplier responses
• Assist with new vendor setup and onboarding
• Negotiate and coordinate payment terms
• Support sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple states
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience purchasing raw materials
• Prior experience in the chemical industry required
• Experience with new vendor setup, RFQs, and payment terms
• Multi-state sourcing or purchasing support is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
