Strategy Analyst

Responsible for:

• FP&A & Portfolio Monitoring: Manage the portfolio tracking, budgeting, forecasting, modelling by ensuring quarterly reporting and preparing KPI dashboards, identifying EBITDA enhancement levers across listed and unlisted portfolio companies
• Financial Reporting: Perform analysis of the financial statements (IS, BS, CFS) to evaluate business health; translate financial variances into actionable narratives
• Business Strategy: Building the Go-to-market strategy and business case to bring new product(s) or service(s) to market for existing Bus. Identify new industries / products / markets for Business Diversification, preferably in the domain of Industry 4.0
• Market Research: Build market maps, conduct gap analysis, understand competitive landscape, determine investment requirement, and assess financial & commercial feasibility. Carry out Secondary & Primary Research to gather information and data, and connect with Industry experts to validate the same
• Growth & Strategy: Identify opportunities for inorganic growth, both for existing BUs and for new business diversification
• Business Case Preparation: Convert market research and present detailed financial business cases calculating ROI, Payback periods and Hurdle rate sensitivity for ideating Go/No Go decisions. Build market maps, conduct gap analysis, understand competitive landscape, determine investment requirement, and assess the financial & commercial feasibility
• Deal Execution & Inorganic Growth M&A Pipeline: Identify targets for portfolio diversification/growth. Lead the engagement with PE/VC funds and boutique advisors to source proprietary deal flow.
• Cost Optimization Analysis: Partner with operations to deep-dive into P&L line items, identifying specific opportunities for margin expansion through operational efficiency
• Divestiture & Monetization Analysis: Perform the rigorous valuation and impact analysis required for potential asset sales, spin-offs, or strategic monetization initiatives
• Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare high-impact technical presentations and IC memos for senior leadership, focusing on quantitative justifications for strategic shift.
