About The Role BukuPay PH is scaling merchant acquisition and running new pilot initiatives across the Philippines. We're looking for a Strategy and Operations Associate to support recurring reporting, initiative execution, and cross-functional coordination that drives business growth for BukuPay PH. This role owns the analytical and execution layer for the business, while supporting strategy design and alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.

Today, this layer of work sits with one person — the Strategy & Operations Manager — who personally pulls and cleans BigQuery exports, tracks pilot reporting cadences, and fields ad hoc requests from Sales, Ops, and Growth on top of core strategy work. This role exists so that pilots stay evaluable on schedule, strategy work isn't crowded out by data preparation, and cross-functional stakeholders have a dedicated point of contact rather than a single point of failure.

What You'll Do Reporting & Data Operations

• Run the weekly acquisition data pull end to end, and own data preparation for recurring analyses
• Pull and clean BigQuery exports, dedupe records, and build join keys ahead of segmentation and funnel work (merchant segmentation, PPOB opportunity, pricing models)
• Scope and build new recurring reports proactively, proposing what should be tracked for a new initiative before being asked

Initiative Execution & Tracking

• Run the recurring export cycle for live pilots to Ops, Finance, and Product, keeping metrics current enough to support go/no-go scaling decisions
• Independently run the full tracking cycle for at least one live initiative, flagging risks and issues proactively rather than waiting to be asked
• Produce first-draft analysis for the Manager to review and finalize, not just pre-defined data pulls
• Co-design initiative rollouts from the start — contributing to rationale and process design, not just the metrics section of a BRD

Cross-functional Coordination

• Act as the first point of contact for Product, Finance, and Operations on the operational status of the initiatives you support
• Coordinate Product's build dependencies, Finance crediting, and Operations monitoring so initiatives don't stall when the Manager is on leave or pulled into an escalation
• Represent Strategy & Operations in cross-functional working sessions on specific workstreams

Ad Hoc Analysis & Requests

• Own incoming data requests from Sales, Ops, and Growth so they route to a dedicated owner instead of interrupting core strategy work
• Triage and prioritize requests, balancing turnaround time against the strategy pipeline

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of experience in strategy, business operations, analytics, or a related function, ideally in a fast-paced startup, fintech, or MSME-focused business
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working hands-on with data — SQL/BigQuery experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; comfortable building and maintaining recurring reports and trackers
• Sharp attention to detail — comfortable owning a tracking cadence end-to-end without things slipping
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce first-draft analysis a manager can review and finalize
• Comfortable managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Finance, Operations, Sales, Growth) and ad hoc requests without losing focus on core deliverables
• Based in or willing to be based in Metro Manila (Makati City)

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in payments, fintech, or MSME-focused distribution
• Experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse
• Exposure to pilot/initiative tracking or go/no-go decision frameworks
• Experience contributing to BRDs or initiative rollout design

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

• Running the weekly acquisition data pull end to end, with data preparation for recurring analyses fully owned
• Owns data preparation for recurring analyses under the direction of the Strategy & Operations Manager
• Built context by shadowing current initiatives, not yet driving any independently
• Clear understanding of how BigQuery exports, dedupe/join processes, and reporting cadences work across pilots
• Strong working relationship with the Strategy & Operations Manager and cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Finance, and Operations
