We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join our Strategy & Technical team and help shape the future of transport and logistics solutions across NTS and the wider NDA Group.

This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the intersection of strategy, planning, analysis and stakeholder engagement. You'll support the development of transport strategies across rail, shipping, road transport and packaging activities, helping to deliver improved outcomes for customers while supporting wider organisational and Group objectives.

Working with stakeholders across NTS, the NDA Group, government organisations and industry partners, you will contribute to strategic planning, scenario development, portfolio governance and cross-business collaboration. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence long-term decision-making and support the delivery of nationally important programmes within the nuclear transport sector.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the development and delivery of transport and logistics strategies across rail, shipping, road transport and packaging activities
  • Contributing to Group Strategic Planning activities, including scenario planning, portfolio governance and strategic analysis
  • Supporting collaboration across NTS and NDA Group operating companies to develop Group-wide transport solutions
  • Acting as a key interface between NTS and Group Strategic Planning teams, coordinating inputs from strategy, finance, planning and technical experts
  • Collecting, analysing and assuring transport data and planning information to support strategic decision-making
  • Undertaking research, demand assessments, option appraisals and business analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting the identification and escalation of strategic risks, opportunities, assumptions and dependencies
  • Coordinating and supporting strategic initiatives, projects and improvement programmes
  • Preparing papers, presentations, reports and briefing materials for governance forums and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting governance activities through action tracking, stakeholder engagement and follow-up activities
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships across NTS, the NDA Group, customers, suppliers and industry bodies
  • Representing NTS at relevant meetings, forums and stakeholder events
  • Supporting wider NTS strategic priorities and cross-functional projects as required
  • Promoting the NTS values of Freedom, Helpfulness and Drive

Training & development

At NTS, we are committed to developing our people and providing opportunities to broaden experience across strategy, planning and stakeholder engagement.

This role offers:

  • Exposure to strategic decision-making across NTS and the NDA Group
  • Opportunities to contribute to nationally significant transport and logistics programmes
  • Development in strategy, portfolio management and business planning disciplines
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders across government, industry and the nuclear sector
  • Opportunities to build expertise across transport, logistics and infrastructure planning

  • Care about doing the right thing, in the right way
  • Are curious and motivated to learn, improve and grow
  • Communicate openly and act with integrity and respect
  • Are comfortable working in a purpose-driven, highly regulated environment

You don’t need to tick every box on day one — we value potential, attitude and alignment with our culture just as much as experience.

  • Health Shield
  • Nuclear Pension Scheme
