What they need
Our client is hiring for two positions within its structural dynamics organization: a Structural Dynamics Analyst and a Senior Structural Dynamics Test Engineer. Candidates will be considered for the role that best aligns with their years of experience, technical background, and primary area of focus.
The Structural Dynamics Analyst position is best suited for engineers with 3+ years of experience who are primarily focused on finite element modeling, analytical simulations, structural dynamics analysis, and model correlation.
The Senior Structural Dynamics Test Engineer position is intended for candidates with 10+ years of overall engineering experience, including at least 5 years focused specifically on structural dynamics analysis and testing. This role will place greater emphasis on test planning, spacecraft-level test execution, technical leadership, troubleshooting, and correlation of analytical predictions with test data.
Both positions will support the analysis and validation of spacecraft and aerospace structures exposed to dynamic environments, including vibration, shock, acoustics, and launch loads. Engineers will collaborate with structural, design, and test teams to ensure flight hardware meets structural, performance, and mission requirements.
Qualifications for Both Positions
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with structural dynamics, vibration, shock, modal analysis, or aerospace vehicle dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in analytical simulations and finite element modeling using Nastran.
- Experience performing static and dynamic analyses, including sine vibration, random vibration, shock, and vibro-acoustic analysis.
- Ability to perform analyses using both finite element methods and traditional hand calculations.
- Experience supporting vibration, shock, or modal testing, including test planning, execution, results interpretation, and model correlation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across design, analysis, and test teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Beta CAE products for finite element modeling and data post-processing, including ANSA, META, or EPILYSIS.
- Experience with Simcenter or NX Nastran.
- Experience with Vibration Research test software.
- Experience with MEscope.
- Experience supporting or leading spacecraft-level vibration testing.
