Structural & Architectural Draftsman

We are seeking an experienced Structural & Architectural Draftsman to prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings for residential, commercial, and high-rise building construction projects in the UAE. The role involves developing structural and architectural shop drawings, coordinating with engineering and site teams, and ensuring compliance with approved designs, project specifications, and applicable UAE authority requirements.

• Prepare detailed structural and architectural shop drawings using AutoCAD, based on IFC drawings, approved designs, and project specifications.
• Develop structural drawings covering foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, reinforcement details, and other reinforced concrete elements.
• Prepare architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, wall details, finishing layouts, doors, windows, and construction details.
• Coordinate structural and architectural drawings with MEP layouts to identify and resolve design discrepancies and clashes.
• Prepare as-built drawings reflecting actual site conditions and approved modifications.
• Review consultant drawings and technical specifications to identify missing information, inconsistencies, and coordination issues.
• Incorporate consultant comments and revisions into shop drawings and maintain updated drawing registers.
• Coordinate closely with project engineers, architects, structural engineers, subcontractors, and site execution teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, relevant building codes, and applicable municipality regulations.
• Support material quantity take-offs and prepare technical documentation as required.
• Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of drafting experience with UAE building construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and BIM coordination is an advantage.
• Proven experience preparing structural and architectural shop drawings for multi-storey building projects.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations, consultant approval procedures, and construction practices.
• Strong technical coordination, attention to detail, and ability to meet project deadlines.
