Structural & Mechanical Engineer

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in the design, assessment, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of wet utilities infrastructure.
• Proven experience in the design and assessment of mechanical and structural components associated with potable water, fire water, TSE, sewage, irrigation, and stormwater systems.
• Extensive experience with pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), water treatment facilities, reservoirs, tanks, and RO/UF treatment systems.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design for utility-related facilities, including reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Experience in mechanical systems design, including pumps, pipelines, valves, surge protection systems, and process equipment for water and wastewater facilities.
• Familiarity with asset integrity management, condition assessment, life-cycle analysis, risk management, and infrastructure resilience planning.
• Experience in evaluating and upgrading existing utility infrastructure to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating with regulatory authorities, including KAHRAMAA, Ashghal (PWA), the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the Ministry of Municipality, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge of Qatar's applicable laws, regulations, codes, standards, permitting requirements, and approval processes related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience in preparing technical scopes of work, reviewing feasibility studies, concept and detailed designs, technical specifications, and managing engineering consultants and contractors.
• Strong understanding of utility interfaces, SCADA systems, GIS applications, and asset management principles.
