Some of our vast experiences include adaptive reuse of existing buildings reviving commercial and residential spaces for future generations, the complete design of multi-story buildings, renovations to schools and businesses stimulating our local community, emergency assessment of damage, and even the relocation of historic buildings.

We are currently looking for a detail oriented Structural Drafter/BIM Modeler to build their future with us. Our drafters focus on providing our clients with the best design experience possible by coordinating and executing technology related activities associated with the use of BIM as well as participating in project-based strategy development. Our next team member will:

  • Perform field investigations to document existing conditions of buildings and structural components.

  • Work with clients and staff to develop structural engineering documents and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure coordination design effort is maintained. Organize/maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information. Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.

  • Review shop drawings.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Design, Drafting, or BIM technology or technical certification in Revit

  • 3+ year(s) experience in developing construction documents, including organization and annotation/drawing best-practices, creation of plans, sections, and details for structural buildings preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of design/drafting standards practices and techniques to ensure the BIM Model adheres to all internal and client specific goals and standards

  • Experience in drawing/modeling different structural systems, such as concrete, steel, light framed, and masonry structures, including a basic understanding of detailing and connections

  • Understanding of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7, NDS) preferred

  • Proficiency in industry software including Revit required

  • A team player possessing strong skills in communication, planning, and organization

  • Has the flexibility for occasional overtime, travel to job sites, and meetings
