Black Ark Builders is looking for a skilled Concrete Builder or Lead who takes pride in quality workmanship and knows how to build more than basic slabs.

Our work includes heavy civil construction, underground utilities, water/wastewater facilities, lift stations, and related concrete structures. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in concrete formwork and structural concrete who can help us build these projects safely, accurately, and efficiently.

For the right person, this could be an opportunity to step into a Lead Builder role and take greater responsibility in the field.

What You'll Do

• Build, set, and strip concrete forms for walls, footings, slabs, vaults, and other structures.
• Read and work from construction plans, formwork drawings, and layout information.
• Perform layout and ensure proper dimensions, elevations, and alignment.
• Coordinate rebar, embeds, blockouts, sleeves, waterstops, and other concrete details.
• Support concrete placement, consolidation, and finishing as needed.
• Work on civil and utility-related concrete structures, including wastewater and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with field leadership and other crews to keep work progressing.
• Maintain quality, safety, and an organized work area.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on concrete and formwork experience.
• Experience building structural concrete, walls, footings, vaults, or similar structures.
• Ability to read plans and understand dimensions, elevations, and construction details.
• Knowledge of forming systems, reinforcement, and concrete placement.
• Good workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

Heavy civil, water/wastewater, treatment plant, lift station, or other infrastructure concrete experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with engineered formwork, gang forms, tie systems, congested rebar, embeds, and complex concrete structures is a major plus.

Potential Lead Opportunity

Candidates with strong technical skills and leadership ability may be considered for a Lead Builder position.

Leadership experience is a plus, but we value demonstrated skill, accountability, and quality workmanship over titles.
