Structural Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer – Design to join our engineering team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, preparation of engineering drawings and calculations, and coordination with architects and other disciplines to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for all kind of projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, specifications, and technical documents.
• Design reinforced concrete and structural steel elements, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and other structural components.
• Review architectural and structural drawings to identify design requirements and potential conflicts.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare and review structural design drawings and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Conduct structural analysis using relevant engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or equivalent.
• Ensure structural designs comply with applicable UAE/Dubai/ RAK regulations, international standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, calculations, and technical submissions where required.
• Respond to technical queries, RFIs, and design-related issues during construction.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Carry out site inspections when required to verify structural works and resolve technical issues.
• Support the preparation of tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.
• Ensure all design deliverables are completed accurately and within the required project schedule.
• Maintain proper records of calculations, drawings, revisions, and technical correspondence.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional engineering certification or relevant UAE accreditation is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and building design.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and applicable international codes.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
• Good knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Strong technical, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Experience

• 5–10 years of relevant structural design experience, preferably with an engineering consultancy.
• Experience in the design of residential, commercial, hospitality, high-rise, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly desirable.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams is an advantage.
