About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in structural design, with strong expertise in both RCC and structural steel building projects.

Experience in building maintenance, rehabilitation, renovation, and structural modification projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural design activities for RCC and structural steel building projects.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Design and analyze reinforced concrete structures, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and other structural elements.
• Design and review structural steel systems, including steel frames, connections, platforms, supports, and associated structural components.
• Review existing structures and assess their structural condition, capacity, and adequacy.
• Provide structural solutions for maintenance, rehabilitation, renovation, strengthening, and modification works.
• Assess existing buildings and structures for proposed modifications, extensions, equipment loads, openings, and changes in use.
• Develop appropriate strengthening and remedial solutions where required.
• Coordinate structural designs with Architectural, MEP, Civil, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review structural drawings and ensure compliance with approved design calculations and project requirements.
• Prepare design calculations and technical documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct technical reviews of structural drawings, calculations, and design deliverables prepared by engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on structural design matters.
• Provide technical support during construction and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and site-related structural issues.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and other structural technical submittals when required.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with applicable Saudi building regulations, project specifications, and international structural codes and standards.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical recommendations related to structural works and maintenance activities.
• Monitor design progress and ensure timely submission of structural deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the structural design team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• 10+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience in RCC and Structural Steel design.
• Proven experience in building projects.
• Experience with building maintenance, rehabilitation, renovation, strengthening, or modification projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
• Experience in reviewing existing structures and developing suitable structural solutions.
• Good knowledge of relevant Saudi and international structural codes and standards.
• Strong coordination experience with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to independently handle structural design assignments from concept through detailed design.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• Experience working with engineering consultants is preferred.
• Candidates available for immediate joining are strongly preferred.

Software Skills

Proficiency in relevant structural engineering and design software, such as:

• ETABS
• SAFE
• STAAD.Pro
• SAP2000
• AutoCAD
• Revit / BIM knowledge will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a technically strong and experienced structural engineer who can independently manage RCC and steel building design, evaluate existing structures, and provide practical engineering solutions for maintenance and modification projects.
