Structural Design Engineer (Precast)

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review precast detailing, including reinforcement, connections, embedded items, lifting provisions, and fabrication requirements.
• Perform structural design and load calculations for precast concrete elements where required.
• Ensure precast designs and shop drawings comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant engineering standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and project teams on technical and drawing-related matters.
• Prepare and submit RFIs for technical clarification and follow up on responses and approvals.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical support to Production Teams during precast installation and construction phases
• Review and make necessary AutoCAD amendments for coordination and technical purposes.
• Assist with shop drawing submissions, revisions, approvals, and drawing status tracking.
• Conduct customer site visits when required to resolve technical or installation issues.
• Support the QA/QC team in resolving non-conformance and other technical or quality-related issues.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, calculations, RFIs, submissions, approvals, and revisions.
• Perform other technical duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in the precast concrete or construction industry is preferred.
• Good understanding of precast concrete, reinforcement detailing, connections, and installation methods.
• Able to read, interpret, and review structural, architectural, and shop drawings. Experience with structural design or calculation software will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to make drawing amendments when required.
• Familiar with relevant construction standards (MS/Eurocode).
• Good technical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and able to coordinate with consultants, production teams, and site personnel.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
